Day Wave

Day Wave is coming to a city near you with a musical style that has made the project a respected name in American indie pop and dream pop. Day Wave is the solo project of singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Jackson Phillips from Oakland, California. After performing in several independent bands, Phillips launched Day Wave in 2015 with a collection of home recorded songs that quickly attracted attention for their nostalgic melodies and understated production. Blending dream pop, shoegaze, indie rock and new wave influences, he established a distinctive sound that resonated with alternative music audiences.

His debut EP, Headcase, was released in 2015 and featured songs including Nothing at All, Drag and Total Zombie. He followed with his first full length album, The Days We Had, in 2017, before releasing Crush in 2020 and Pastlife in 2022. Across these records, Day Wave has explored themes of relationships, personal growth and self reflection while maintaining a signature style built around shimmering guitars, subtle synthesizers and memorable melodies. Songs such as Something Here, Potions, Loner and Before We Knew have become some of the project's best known recordings.

Alongside his solo releases, Jackson Phillips has collaborated with other artists and produced remixes for several alternative bands, further expanding his presence within the indie music community. His work has been praised for combining the spirit of 1980s and 1990s indie rock with modern production techniques and thoughtful songwriting. Through a consistent catalog and a clearly defined artistic vision, Day Wave has become an important voice in contemporary American indie music. Purchase your tickets today at Tickets.ca.
