Death Cab for Cutie

Death Cab for Cutie is coming near you with heartfelt indie rock melodies and songs that have accompanied fans through love, loss and life-changing moments.

Beginning as Ben Gibbard’s solo project in Washington State, Death Cab for Cutie grew into a defining American alternative rock band. Gibbard’s delicate voice, vivid lyrics and the group’s carefully layered arrangements created a sound that listeners can recognize within seconds.

Transatlanticism marked a major breakthrough with The New Year, Title and Registration and The Sound of Settling. Plans expanded the band’s audience through Soul Meets Body, Crooked Teeth and I Will Follow You into the Dark, an acoustic ballad that became one of its most beloved songs. I Will Possess Your Heart, from Narrow Stairs, remains another essential fan favourite.

Albums including Codes and Keys, Kintsugi, Thank You for Today and Asphalt Meadows show a band willing to evolve without losing its emotional depth. Multiple Grammy Award nominations have further recognized Death Cab for Cutie’s lasting importance in indie rock. Its catalogue continues to offer honest storytelling, memorable choruses and songs that feel personal to listeners.
