distraction4ever is coming near you with a musical style that blends post-punk, synth-punk, indie rock and electronic music. Based in Montréal, the duo has established itself as a distinctive presence in the independent music scene through songs that combine guitars, synthesizers and electronic rhythms. Its sound is defined by memorable melodies, modern production and lyrics that explore identity, isolation and contemporary relationships.
After releasing a series of singles beginning in 2022, distraction4ever expanded its catalogue with the album Please Don't Think About Tomorrow later that year, followed by Please Don't Think About Tomorrow (Deluxe) in 2023. The duo continued its artistic development with Business Core in 2024, featuring tracks including belong (another place), 5a7 with fish narc, shitty service with Spookystack, a brick on my head and i won't lose my mind. During 2025 and 2026, it continued releasing new music with singles such as Red001, Slow Boat, Million Rats, U Need Me (distraction4ever's version) and You Look Good.
Throughout its career, distraction4ever has developed a distinctive sound that combines post-punk textures with contemporary electronic production. Collaborations with artists including fish narc, Spookystack, Carlo Karacho and Bouvier Normal reflect the duo's growing presence within a new generation of alternative musicians.
