L'Empire Musical traces British pop and rock music across the period from 1995 to 2025.
The production brings together Renee Wilkin, Pascal Dufour, and Yvan Pedneault, the three performers previously associated with Britishow. That earlier project sold more than 50,000 tickets in Quebec, providing the starting point for this new creation devoted to the evolution of music from the United Kingdom.
The repertoire connects two generations of British artists. It references figures whose influence continued during this period, including Queen, Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Mick Jagger, alongside artists such as Adele, Dua Lipa, Coldplay, Mumford and Sons, Joss Stone, Ed Sheeran, and Harry Styles. L'Empire Musical therefore highlights a continuity between established rock catalogues and pop voices that have shaped more recent decades.
The production is created by the same team behind Britishow. Mike Gauthier serves as artistic director and repertoire curator, while Philippe Turcotte is musical director. Presented with an English-language repertoire and bilingual spoken segments, L'Empire Musical is part of a Quebec tour that began in Montreal in December 2026 and continues today.
