Léo Hit Coupal + Hanna Sybille Müller are coming near you with a double program exploring movement, ecology and human relationships.
A multidisciplinary artist from Quebec City, Léo Hit Coupal works between breaking and slam poetry. A two-time national slam champion, he has represented Quebec at the Poetry Slam World Cup. His solo Nulle part combines breakdance and poetry to examine overstimulation, the search for meaning and the ecological concerns shaping contemporary life.
German-born choreographer Hanna Sybille Müller is based in Montreal and investigates the connections between language, movement and the vegetal world. Her creation The Choreographic Garden - Vegetal Transformation uses lichen as a guiding metaphor for interdependence, mutual adaptation and resilience.
Inspired by cycles of decomposition and regeneration, the work also considers ecological and personal grief as processes of transformation rather than final ruptures.
This double program brings together two thoughtful artistic practices that question our relationships with the body, nature and the changes shaping our lives.
