Gims is coming to a city near you… A leading figure in contemporary French-language music, Gims, also known as Maître Gims, first rose to prominence as a member of the Paris-based hip hop group Sexion d’Assaut, which played a key role in popularizing French rap in the early 2010s. With the group, he contributed to the success of the album L’École des points vitaux (2010), a release that helped establish their presence in the francophone music scene.

As a solo artist, Gims achieved major commercial success with his debut album Subliminal in 2013, featuring hit singles such as J’me tire and Bella. He followed with Mon coeur avait raison in 2015, a double album that included widely popular tracks like Est-ce que tu m’aimes? and Sapés comme jamais, one of his most recognizable songs. In 2018, he released Ceinture noire, a project featuring multiple collaborations that further expanded his international reach. He continued with Le fléau in 2020 and Les dernières volontés de Mozart in 2022, reflecting a blend of pop, rap and global influences throughout his evolving sound.

Recognized for his ability to merge genres and reach a broad audience, Gims remains one of the most influential figures in modern francophone pop and urban music.
