Make Like a Tree

Make Like a Tree is coming near you with a nomadic and deeply evocative indie folk universe.

Created by Ukrainian artist Sergey Onischenko, Make Like a Tree brings together music, photography and cultural exploration. Influenced by the nonconformist ideas of the Beat Generation, the project blends acoustic songwriting with ambient textures, folk rock and experimental sounds.

Each release reflects Onischenko’s travels and his encounters with artists from different countries. His third album, Mothernight, features ten collaborations developed during a journey that included Japan, Kenya, Tanzania, Ukraine, Italy, Norway and Armenia. Its track list includes Under Water, City is a Cage, To the Sea and Hope.

Make Like a Tree has also released City Zen, Love is a Shelter, Vanish and MeditOcean. The latter was composed in Bali with Damirichi and Sacrananda. Fans of independent folk, atmospheric music and travel-inspired storytelling will find plenty to explore in this border-crossing project, where each recording becomes part of a larger creative journey.
