For more than two decades, she helped shape the band's sound while performing hundreds of concerts across Quebec, Canada, and Europe and contributing to several studio albums. Following the band's hiatus in 2013, Roy embarked on a solo career that allowed her to explore a quieter, more introspective musical direction while showcasing her own songwriting voice.

In 2016, she released her debut solo album, Bleu Nelson, produced by Julien Mineau of Malajube. Built around the distinctive sound of the Wurlitzer electric piano, the album revealed a minimalist aesthetic far removed from her punk roots while highlighting her talent for thoughtful lyrics and subtle melodies. The record explores themes of personal change, relationships, and self-discovery through a blend of indie pop, folk, and electronic textures.
