Mitsou

Mitsou is coming near you with a career that has left a mark on Quebec pop, television, radio, and popular culture.

Known as Mitsou, Mitsou Gélinas began appearing on television at a young age before establishing herself in music with synth-pop shaped by new wave and dance influences. Her debut album, El Mundo, earned platinum certification and introduced an artist distinguished by both melodic instinct and visual choices. She quickly became one of the most recognizable Quebec personalities of her generation.

The song Bye Bye mon cowboy reached number one in Quebec and remains her signature hit. Her catalogue also includes Les Chinois, La corrida, Mademoiselle Anne, Dis-moi, dis-moi, Lettre à un cowboy, Deep Kiss, Everybody Say Love, Le Ya Ya, and Comme j'ai toujours envie d'aimer. Her albums Terre des hommes, Heading West, Tempted, Ya Ya, Noël, Mitsou, and the MitsouVibe EP reflect a path that moved from French to English and back to French-language music. She also released Cowgirl with Laurence Nerbonne and C'est chaud + hot with Ya Cetidon. A host, actor, editor, and entrepreneur, Mitsou remains an essential Quebec cultural reference.
