Ya Cetidon

Ya Cetidon is coming near you with a sound that connects hip-hop, afrobeats, R&B, and dancehall.

Originally from Congo-Brazzaville and now based in Greater Montreal, the independent singer-songwriter draws on a journey shaped by Pointe-Noire, studies in the United States, and a life in Canada. He began making music as a child, influenced by his mother, a gospel singer, and his father, a music producer. That personal history informs an approach built around rhythm and an open embrace of Afro-urban sounds.

Ya Cetidon has established his place in Quebec's musical landscape through a catalogue that includes Nouvelle ère, Double Feature with Loud, and the album STEPS. His releases include Diamant, Petit coeur, Day N' Night, Beau Gosse, Kob, and Ce Soir with Dro X Yani. He has also collaborated with Cruzito on Comme le dernier and appeared on Loud's track Rien à faire. After closing Les Francos de Montréal, Ya Cetidon also joined the OSHEAGA lineup. Blending Congolese roots, North American influences, and Montreal-based creation, he represents a distinctive voice in contemporary Afro-Quebec music.
