Savannah Bananas

The Savannah Bananas are coming to a city near you with Banana Ball, a completely reimagined version of baseball built around speed, entertainment and fan participation. Founded in Savannah, Georgia, in 2016, the team has grown into a major sports and entertainment phenomenon by challenging many of the conventions of traditional baseball.

Banana Ball features its own set of rules designed to keep games moving and create more action. But the Savannah Bananas experience goes far beyond the score: choreographed player dances, creative walk-ups, elaborate celebrations, trick plays and larger-than-life characters have all become part of the team's identity. Familiar faces include Dakota "Stilts" Albritton, who bats and pitches on stilts, along with numerous players who have developed their own followings within the massive Bananas social media community.

The concept has grown so much that Banana Ball now features six independent professional teams competing as part of the Banana Ball Championship League. The Savannah Bananas remain the original team behind the phenomenon, which now brings its unconventional take on baseball to stadiums across the United States.
