Shakey Graves

Shakey Graves is coming near you with a body of work that brings together blues, folk, rock and roll, and Americana. Behind the name is Texas songwriter, musician, and actor Alejandro Rose-Garcia, who is closely associated with Austin. His self-released debut album, Roll the Bones, brought him national recognition and established a signature sound built around guitar and a handmade kick drum constructed from an old suitcase. This direct and distinctive approach became one of the defining elements of his artistic identity.

His discography includes And the War Came, Can’t Wake Up, and Movie of the Week. With And the War Came, Shakey Graves expanded his world both emotionally and sonically while bringing more collaborators and arrangements into the process. The album includes Dearly Departed, written and sung with Esmé Patterson, as well as Only Son, Hard Wired, The Perfect Parts, and Family and Genus. He has also released Tomorrow, Kids These Days, Mansion Door, Cheers, and Ready or Not with Sierra Ferrell. Before focusing on music, Alejandro Rose-Garcia had a recurring role in Friday Night Lights and appeared in several Robert Rodriguez films.
