Estadio Banorte is an iconic football stadium located in Coyoacán, in the southern part of Mexico City.
Originally opened in 1966 as Estadio Azteca, it was renamed Estadio Banorte in 2025 following a sponsorship partnership. With a capacity of about 83,000 spectators, it hosts matches for Club América and the Mexico national football team. The stadium is known for its impressive architecture, upgraded facilities, and electrifying atmosphere during major events. It has also been the stage for historic moments, including two FIFA World Cup finals (1970 and 1986), and will serve as one of the official venues for the 2026 World Cup.
