Whiskey Myers

Whiskey Myers is coming near you with a blend of Southern rock, country, blues, and red dirt music shaped in East Texas.

The group includes Cody Cannon on vocals and guitar, John Jeffers and Cody Tate on guitars, Jeff Hogg on drums, Jamey Gleaves on bass, and Tony Kent on keyboards and percussion. Their approach rejects rigid boundaries between genres and draws equally from rock, country, and blues.

After Road of Life, Whiskey Myers established its identity with Firewater, followed by Early Morning Shakes and Mud. Mud reached number four on Billboard’s country chart, while the self-titled album Whiskey Myers topped Billboard’s independent and rock charts. The band also gained visibility through the television series Yellowstone, which used its music and featured the group in an episode. Its recognized songs include Ballad of a Southern Man, Stone, Broken Window Serenade, Mud, Dogwood, Die Rockin’, Rolling Stone, Gasoline, and Bury My Bones. The discography also includes Tornillo and Whomp Whack Thunder. Influenced as much by Nirvana as by Waylon Jennings, Whiskey Myers places its catalogue in an American tradition where personal stories meet rugged sounds.
