The Montreal Alouettes have started the new season on the right foot last night by defeating the Toronto Argonauts by a score of 37 to 24. It was the first preparatory match of the season.
In the absence of Anthony Calvillo, the young quarterback Adrian McPherson has particularly illustrated himself. At the beginning of the match, he scores a touchdown on a 4-yard run to give the lead to its own.
Used during the first two quarters, McPherson finished his evening of work with 9 successful on 12 passes (110 yards) and 68-yard run.
Chris Leak and Ricky Santos have also been used to the position of quarterback in the game, and also enabled the Montreal Alouettes to reach the touchdown.
The party was interrupted for about fifteen minutes during the third quarter, while the Argonauts player Todd lowbie was knock out following a collision with an Alouette.
