Montreal Alouettes  34  vs.   Saskatchewan Roughriders  25
Friday, August 21, 2009 at the Percival Molson Stadium in Montreal

The Alouettes continue to dominate the rankings of the CFL adding a seventh victory in their near perfect record this season. This time, the Alouettes defeated the Saskatchewan Roughriders by the mark of 34 to 25 at Percival Molson Stadium in Montreal.

The defensive unit of the Montreal Alouettes gave cold sweat to their followers by showing some weaknesses in the first half. They hadn't conceded any touchdowns in the last two games and now they gave away two points in the second quarter.

Fortunately, the Alouettes' defense rebounded, leaving only crumbs for the quarterback Darian Durant and his associates for the rest of the match.

The Quebec marauder Mathieu Proulx once again shone in making two important interceptions. Nevertheless, he had to leave the game before the end due to a bruised leg as well as Josh Bourke who also injured his leg.

From the offensive side, the Alouettes showed without delay to maintain their lead until the very end of match.

Anthony Calvillo completed 19 of his 28 passes for 170 yards, while his counterpart, Chris Leak, who was replacing the usual quarterback Adrian MacPherson who injured his shoulder, successfully completed his only pass, a 2-yard to join Kerry Watkins in the end zone.

Larry Taylor, Ben Cahoon and Avon Cobourne also managed a touchdown each for the Alouettes, while the latter also totaled 101 yards gain on the ground.
