Montreal Canadiens supersize defenseman Hal Gill injured his foot during the Habs practice yesterday in Brossard.
This means the Canadiens had to call up defenseman Mathieu Carle from the Hamilton Bulldogs to fill the void. Mathieu Carle has played his last 10 games with the Bulldogs and cumulated 1 goal and 2 assists. Carle should be in the line-up tonight against the Atlanta Thrashers.
Meanwhile, defenseman Ryan O’Byrne was back practicing with the team last night. The defenseman had suffered a knee injury on October 3rd during the second game of the season.
