The days of Sergei Kostitsyn in the Montreal Canadiens could well be
numbered. The younger Kostitsyn brothers refused to go to the Hamilton
Bulldogs and asked the club to trade him.
Following a disappointing performance in the training camp, the direction of
the Montreal Canadiens decided to send Sergei Kostitsyn to his club-school.
It was up this morning to get there, but during training Bulldogs at Copps
Coliseum this morning, Sergei conspicuous by its absence.
New subsequently tumbled: RDS reported this afternoon that the young
Belarusian player refused to go to Hamilton and asked to be traded. Bob
Gainey would first require that he is refered to Hamilton, then he would
have suspended the young player indefinitely.
The 22 years old, the younger brother K was drafted in 2005 and played 108
games in the Canadiens uniform over the past two seasons. He has 50 points
to his record with 17 goals and 115 penalty minutes.
