The Patrick Watson band left the Club Soda arms full of trophies last night after the Gala presentation of the Alternative Music of Quebec (GAMIQ) 2009.
The Montreal singer and his group won the prize in five categories in which they were: Entertainer of the Year, Songwriter of the year, international career of the year, show of the year and indie pop album of the year.
Patrick Watson were nominated five times, as many as the duo Beast, however Beast did not get their hands on that many statues; only one, the electro album of the year.
Unsurprisingly, it is the singer Beatrice Martin, called Coeur de Pirate, who won Revelation of the year, while the band Malajube ran away with the Indie Rock Album of the year.
