Public Image Ltd is reuniting for its first North American tour in over 17 years! The British post-punk band will be performing in Montreal, at L'Olympia, on May 8th, 2010.
Formed in 1978 by singer John Lydon after the death of his former band The Sex Pistols (he was then known as Johnny Rotten), Public Image Ltd has released 8 studio albums in the span of a 14-year career which had seemingly ended around 1992.
For this reunion tour, Public Image Ltd planned 17 concerts, the first of which will happen on April 17th, 2010, at Coachella Festival, in California. Montréal and Toronto (the day before) will be the only two canadian cities visited by Public Image Ltd.
