The organizers of the music and arts festival Osheaga decided to put the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the top poster of the day of Sunday, August 2, replacing the Beastie Boys. In addition, the Vampire Weekend group has been added to program.
You must remember that the Beastie Boys had announced on Monday, less than two weeks from the event, they had to cancel their attendance for all the summer festivals in which they were supposed to participate in the coming months, including Osheaga.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs was already part of Osheaga menu for Sunday, August 2, but should occur at the river stage at 4 :45 pm. Their concert was moved to 9:30pm to close the festival.
The New York group Vampire Weekend inherits the hole vacated by the change in the schedule, and therefore occur at the river stage at 4.45pm.
The news was confirmed by the Osheaga organizers through their Twitter account.
