The same goes for the Russian Nikolay Davydenko, the 8th global player, who won his duel with the French Paul-Henri Mathieu 7-6 (4), 7-6 (2).
Earlier in the day, Australian Lleyton Hewitt (40th) was beaten by Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrerro (29th).
