The new head coach of the Montreal Canadiens Jacques Martin has completed
his team of assistants with the hiring of Pierre Groulx and Perry Pearn.
Groulx becomes coach of the goalies of the Habs, a position he held with the
Florida Panthers under the tutelage of Jacques Martin, and Peter DeBoer.
This post was vacant since the departure of Roland Melanson.
Perry Pearn, him, joined Kirk Muller as an assistant coach. Pearn occupied
the same position with the New York Rangers in the last five seasons, prior
to which he was the assistant coach of Jacques Martin with the Ottawa
Senators from 1996 to 2004. He was also the coach of Junior Team Canada in
1993, winning the gold.
