After a break of two years, the members of Red Hot Chili Peppers are
preparing a reunion in response to their latest album Stadium Arcadium
(released in 2006).
In an interview with Billboard magazine, drummer Chad Smith, who also works
in parallel on projects with Chickenfoot & Bombastic Meatbats, add that
singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, guitarist John Frusciante and himself
will meet together in October to pick up where they left following the tour
in 2006, which was extended until September 2007.
Also according to Smith, the group would return to the studio before the end
of this year, and they are already begun to see where they will perform in
the context of a possible tour.
According to France charts, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have sold more than 69
million albums around the world, within the 25-year history of the band.
