After months of speculations, it has finally been confirmed: U2 will be performing live in Montreal on July 16th, 2010. Only confirmation remaining is the venue they will be playing.
Last night, during a special live concert on YouTube, U2 announced they will be adding a second leg to their U2 360 Tour which has been touring stadiums across the globe since June 30th, 2009.
The Olympic Stadium seemed to be a logical choice to welcome the band, but technical problems (such as an un-retractable roof and the height of the stadium not sufficient to accommodate the metal structure overseeing the stage during shows) have made the venue impossible for the tour.
Many believe the Parc Jean-Drapeau could be the place holding the event. As for CHOM FM, they believe that Blue Bonnets will be chosen as the venue for the event.
