Another surprise today at Wimbledon tournament: Argentina's Juan Martin Del Potro, 5th seed, bowed Racing the Australian Lleyton Hewitt in three sets (6-3, 7-5, 7-5).
Del Potro had the wind in its sails. He had reach the semi-finals at Roland Garros and had been a force not reckon with in a spectacular victory of 6-3, 6-1 and 6-2 facing the French Arnaud Clement in the first round on Tuesday. But as in 2007 and 2008, the Argentinean failed to reach the third round of Wimbledon.
His opponent has rather the reverse situation. Wimbledon champion in 2002, Lleyton Hewitt declined in recent years.
